Recently, Jiushi Intelligent launched the world’s first urban low-speed full-scenario L4 autonomous vehicle product series, which has shaken the industry. The entire series of products is equipped with BroadGNSS Technology’s self-developed RAC (Realtime Array Calibration) high-precision satellite positioning receivers. This innovation not only highlights Jiushi Intelligent’s technological leadership but also demonstrates the high reliability and wide applicability of RAC high-precision satellite positioning technology!

BroadGNSS Technology is dedicated to developing low-cost, high-precision positioning and integrated navigation products for autonomous driving mass production. The RAC product, leveraging GPS/IMU integrated navigation, has achieved an excellent price-performance ratio and has been widely recognized by customers. Currently, the RAC+LiDAR/camera+perception system has become the standard solution for L4-level low-speed autonomous vehicles, fully meeting customer needs across four dimensions: accuracy, cost, availability, and operational range.
Jiushi Intelligent has recently released four models of L4-level autonomous vehicles: Z2, Z5, Z8, and Z10. With exceptional performance and a flexible pricing strategy, the new series achieved a sales volume of 5,290 units on the very day of its launch, setting a new sales record for L4-level autonomous driving products. BroadGNSS’s RAC products will continue to provide technical support to Jiushi Intelligent. To date, BroadGNSS’s high-precision satellite positioning terminal products have gained numerous leading clients in the fields of autonomous driving, intelligent vehicles, and connected vehicle location services, with shipments reaching several hundred thousand units.

BroadGNSS’s RAC high-precision satellite positioning receiver does not rely on any differential technology (such as reference stations) and only uses standard civilian single-frequency signals (GPS L1 or Beidou B1) to achieve positioning accuracy better than 1 meter. At the same time, it significantly reduces costs and is globally available. The patent coverage includes China, the United States, and Europe. The RAC series products have already been applied in multiple industries, providing services to society in areas such as autonomous driving, intelligent connected vehicles, inspection robots, sanitation cleaning robots, and special vehicle monitoring, among others. BroadGNSS Technology always adheres to the spirit of "a decade to forge a sword," continuing to focus on advancing RAC high-precision positioning technology. The company remains committed to pursuing excellence and forging ahead, looking toward the future and providing more accurate and efficient solutions for various industries.

The Eight Major Pain Points of RTK Ground-Based Augmentation Mode in the Automotive Field

1. Terminal hardware, differential technology, and components were originally used in the surveying industry, resulting in high hardware costs.
2. Service fees must be paid to obtain differential correction data.
3. Communication data fees are required for transmission between the user terminal and the augmentation system, and these fees are paid to the 4G telecom operator.
4. Data confidentiality issues: the ground-based augmentation network involves bidirectional data, and the user's location data is automatically collected by the operator without compensation.
5. Limited usage range: it only works within the coverage area of differential stations. In reality, the range with guaranteed usable signals is still very limited.
6. Due to the complexity of the technology, it is difficult to collect evidence for legal protection. After an accident, it is hard to determine responsibility among the satellite network, ground-based augmentation network, 5G/4G operators, and terminal equipment suppliers.
7. Low availability, with poor data integrity.
8. High-precision RTK antennas are too large and thick to be installed on mass-produced vehicles.

RAC satellite positioning technology can address the following eight major pain points

1. The user purchases terminal hardware at a low price, with low BOM hardware costs.
2. No differential correction data support is required.
3. Users do not need to pay communication data fees for transmission between the user terminal and the augmentation system.
4. Data privacy issue: the data is only owned by the user (the car manufacturer).
5. Global availability.
6. Product quality responsibility is clear and borne by us.
7. High availability, good data integrity.
8. RAC is easy to install on mass-produced vehicles!
