BroadGNSS (Suzhou) Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. has launched a new type of RAC (Realtime Array Calibration) high-precision satellite positioning receiver. This product is characterized by not using any differential technology (such as inertial navigation or other auxiliary technologies) and instead relies solely on ordinary civilian single-frequency signals (GPS L1 or BeiDou B1) to achieve positioning accuracy better than 1 meter (15-60 cm). This innovative technology allows high-precision satellite positioning to break free from the dependency on ground-based augmentation networks and significantly reduces costs, thus accelerating the widespread application of high-precision satellite positioning technologies.
For decades, the accuracy of ordinary civilian satellite positioning has been around 10 meters, requiring satellite navigation receivers to rely on ground-based augmentation systems composed of differential reference stations to achieve sub-meter accuracy. Currently, both domestic and international companies are working towards large-scale construction and operation of ground-based augmentation networks to promote the mass adoption of high-precision satellite positioning. However, constructing, maintaining, and operating ground-based (and space-based) augmentation systems involves significant resource and technical challenges and incurs enormous costs. These pain points have severely hindered the rapid large-scale deployment of high-precision satellite positioning.
To address these issues, BroadGNSS Technology focuses on developing high-precision satellite positioning technology that does not rely on differential reference stations. Through independent innovation and disruptive principles and methods, the company has successfully developed the world’s first single-point GPS and BeiDou receivers with sub-meter and decimeter-level accuracy. This achievement represents a milestone in the history of satellite navigation and positioning technology.
